Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, I authorize this establishment to immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for my pet. I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency.
Coat condition/Matting:
I understand that this establishment puts my pet’s comfort above all else. In the event that my pet’s coat is matted, I understand that the groomer may have to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful dematting procedure. I also understand that if my pet is severely matted, that there is an increased risk for clipper burn or incidents to occur. I understand Royal Paws Dog Spa holds no responsibility for the health issues that occur during or after removing severely matted/pelted coats and advise pet parents to educate themself on health issues that can occur from severe dematt removal.
I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this, however in many extreme matt conditions, it is unavoidable. I also understand that matted pets take additional time to groom so there will be an additional fees added on to the regular grooming price for dematting/brushing fees.
Pricing:
I understand that prices given are "base" pricing and final price will be given based on each individual appointment. I understand that grooming is an industry with inflation and annual increases can occur without notice.
Health/well being:
I understand that grooming can be stressful to some pets and I will inform the groomer if my pet has any health issues, heart conditions, allergies or any stress related issues prior to grooming. I also understand that it is necessary to have my pet up to date on all vaccinations prior to every grooming. I also understand that Royal Paws Dog Spa has the right to refuse any service based on the health or well being of your animal and or staff eg: Severe health issues, aggressive behaviour, matting to severe to safely remove without vet assistance or sedation.
Cancellation policy:
I understand that if I need to change my appointment time or cancel it, that I must give at least a 24 hour notice so that the appointment time can be made available to another client who is on the waiting list. Failure to do so can result in a $40+ per dog no show fee. If two appointments are missed without giving notice, client’s are then required to pre-pay prior to scheduling any future appointments and payment for no show fee will be automatically taken from this for future no shows.
Late drop off policy:
I understand that being on time for my appointment is important to ensure there are no disruptions to your groomers schedule. In the event that you are late for your appointment royal paws allows up to 15 minutes grace period before a $1.00 per minute "late fee" is applied or the possibility of a "no show fee" for those who must be rescheduled.
Late pick up policy:
I understand that I am required to pick up my pet within 40 minutes of being notified that my pet is ready for pick up. Royal Paws Dog Spa is unable to hold pets for long periods of time and failure to pick up your pet within this time frame will be charged a "dog sitting fee" of $5 every 10 minutes or $1 per minute after business hours unless discussed otherwise with your groomer.
