Dog Grooming Terms and Conditions

Emergencies

In the event of a pet emergency, I authorize this establishment to immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for my pet. I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency.

Coat Condition/Matting:

I understand that this establishment prioritizes my pet’s comfort above all else. If my pet’s coat is matted, I acknowledge that the groomer may need to shave the mats out instead of performing a painful dematting procedure. I also understand that if my pet is severely matted, there is an increased risk of clipper burn or other incidents occurring. Royal Paws Dog Spa holds no responsibility for health issues that arise during or after the removal of severely matted or pelted coats, and I advise pet parents to educate themselves on potential health issues related to severe dematting.

I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this, but in many extreme matting conditions, it may be unavoidable. I also recognize that matted pets require additional grooming time, which will result in extra fees for dematting or brushing services.

Pricing:

I understand that the prices provided are "base" pricing, and the final price will be determined based on each individual appointment. I acknowledge that grooming is an industry subject to inflation, and annual price increases may occur without notice.

Health/Well-Being:

I recognize that grooming can be stressful for some pets, and I will inform the groomer of any health issues, heart conditions, allergies, or stress-related concerns prior to grooming. Additionally, I understand that it is necessary for my pet to be up to date on all vaccinations before every grooming session. Royal Paws Dog Spa reserves the right to refuse any service based on the health or well-being of my pet or staff, such as severe health issues, aggressive behavior, or matting too severe to safely remove without veterinary assistance or sedation.

Cancellation Policy:

I understand that if I need to change my appointment time or cancel it, I must provide at least a 24-hour notice so that the appointment slot can be made available to another client on the waiting list. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation policy fee of $40+ per dog for no-show appointments. If two appointments are missed without prior notice, clients will be required to pre-pay before scheduling any future appointments, and any no-show fees will be deducted from this pre-payment.

Late Drop Off Policy:

I understand that punctuality for my appointment is crucial to avoid disruptions to my groomer's schedule. If I am late for my appointment, Royal Paws allows a 15-minute grace period before a $1.00 per minute late fee is applied, or I may incur a no-show fee if rescheduling becomes necessary.

Late Pick Up Policy:

I understand that I must pick up my pet within 40 minutes of being notified that my pet is ready for pick up. Royal Paws Dog Spa cannot hold pets for extended periods, and failure to pick up my pet within this timeframe will incur a "dog sitting fee" of $5 every 10 minutes or $1 per minute after business hours, unless otherwise discussed with my groomer.
